Yes! Gledhill Avenue Children's Centre is a non-profit childcare centre that also serves subisdized childcare families living in the City of Toronto.
Subsidized childcare spaces will be confirmed with the City of Toronto Childcare Services during the enrollment process.
You must contact the City of Toronto's children's services to apply for subsidized childcare.
In March, Ontario signed a historic deal called the Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement (CWELCC) with the federal government that will lower licensed child care fees to an average of $10 a day by September 2025.
Gledhill Avenue Child Care Centre is currently enrolled in CWELCC, and has amended it’s service agreement with the City of Toronto to include this agreement in the Centre’s fee collection policy.
School Age fees are not included in the CWELCC and all enrolled School Age children will have the regular school age rates applied to their accounts. Families receiving child care subsidy through the City of Toronto, will receive their adjusted rates directly from Toronto Children’s Services.
Participation in CWELCC beyond 2024 is pending board approval. GACCC Board of Directors and management will continue to assess the impact involvement with CWELCC has on the centre’s organization, and will continue to participate in the agreement as long as it remains in the best interest of GACCC’s families, employees and operations.
